MATTHEW A. CRIST
Matthew A. Crist is an attorney with Clark & Martino. Before joining the firm, Mr. Crist practiced complex commercial and environmental litigation with one of the largest law firms in the world. He has significant experience representing clients in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters in Florida’s federal and state courts.
Mr. Crist grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida in 2000. As a student at the University of Florida, he served as the president of Delta Upsilon Fraternity, was the Public Relations Director for Homecoming 1998, and was inducted into Florida Blue Key. After graduation, he taught American History and Economics at Allen D. Nease High School in St. Augustine, Florida and served as the chairman of the School Advisory Committee. He returned to Gainesville to attend the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida in 2004. While in law school, Mr. Crist was a member of the Justice Campbell Thornal Moot Court Team and served as its Special Events Chairman. He graduated cum laude in 2006.
Mr. Crist is admitted to practice in the state courts of Florida, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Mr. Crist is active in the legal community and is a member of The Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He also volunteers with the HCBA’s Ask-a-Lawyer Referral Program.
His areas of practice include consumer protection litigation, premises liability, class action litigation, products liability, truck and auto accidents, and medical malpractice.
