Every Tampa personal
injury attorney at Clark and Martino, P.A., is a member
of the Florida Justice Association. While the Florida Justice
Association may not be well-known to the general public,
this organization has been protecting the rights of Florida’s
citizens and consumers for more than 50 years.
The Florida Justice Association began a
few years after the end of World War II when a group of
Florida personal injury attorneys formed the Negligence
and Compensation Lawyers of Florida (NACLAF). In 1961, the
NACLAF reorganized into the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers
(AFTL), consisting of 50 members. Through years of growth
and success, the AFTL directed its attention to justice
and protecting Florida’s families, as well as promoting
the interests of Florida’s injured citizens.
Eventually, the AFTL became the Florida
Justice Association, or FJA. Today, the FJA is dedicated
to upholding Florida’s civil justice system so that
all Floridians have a fair chance to seek justice in our
state’s courtrooms. The FJA is also concerned with
holding large corporations and industries to a high ethical
standard, in turn keeping Florida’s consumers safer.
Finally, the FJA remains active in political, legislative,
and journalistic arenas, helping Floridians to know and
understand their rights.
It takes constant vigilance to ensure that
the rights of Florida’s families are not endangered
by insurance and corporate interests. At Clark and Martino,
P.A., we are dedicated to defending each client’s
rights. Please call us to schedule an appointment with a
